International petrol and related services fair to be held in Tunisia

The first international petrol and related services Fair, SIPS 2009, will be held in Yasmine Hammamet, from April 10 to 12, 2009.
The event is organized by the Global Exhibition Company (GECO) in partnership with the International Centre of

Environmental Technologies (CITET), the Tunisian Enterprise of Petrol Activities (ETAP) and the Chambers of commerce of Tripoli, Casablanca, Algiers and Mauritania.

A focal point for all those involved in petrol related activities, the fair will provide specialized foreign firms with an opportunity to present their technical capacities, negotiate contracts, as well as to explore investment opportunities in the sector.

Some 170 international companies will participate in the event which will discuss such issues as GIS technologies in the service of petrol industries, cooperation between the government and the petroleum industry in terms of prevention, preparation and fight against marine pollution by hydrocarbons and the management of purchases by public enterprises in the Tunisian hydrocarbon sector.
