Jordan-Yemen: Technical cooperation

The Joint Jordanian-Yemeni Technical Committee of the two countries' prime ministries concluded meetings in Amman Tuesday by signing a document on mechanisms and a specific timeframe to implement the cooperation protocol signed between the two countries prime ministries.

The document, which was signed by Secretary General of the Jordanian Prime Ministry Mohammad Nour Shreidah and Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Foreign Relations at the Yemeni Prime Ministry Jamal Ali Ahmad, also includes specific measures to implement the cooperation protocol signed by the prime ministries' of both countries in 2007.

Under the agreement, the Yemeni side will be benefit from Jordan's experience in areas related to public administration and archiving, following up decision implementation, analyzing and designing systems and software programs as well as information technology.

Jordanian experts and specialists in the fields of public administration and administrative development will also be sent to Yemen to benefit the Yemeni side.

The committee held its meetings during March 26-31 during which it discussed means of boosting cooperation between the prime ministries of both countries. (Petra)
