Oman-Syria: Discuss Resolutions of Doha Summit

President Bashar al-Assad and Sultan Qaboos bin Said , Sultan of Oman held talks in Muscat on Thursday.
Talks dealt with the depth and strength of the Syrian-Omani relations and the prospects of developing them for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and peoples.

Talks also dealt with the resolutions of the 21st Arab Summit recently held in Doha and the positive Arab atmosphere prevailed during it, especially regarding the joint Arab action and the necessity of putting practical mechanisms for strengthening it.

President al-Assad hailed the role played by His Majesty and the Sultanate of Oman to enhance Arab solidarity as His Majesty appreciated the efforts made by Syria during presiding over the Arab summit.

The latest developments in the region were reviewed during the meeting where both sides agreed to continue consultations for the benefit of the Arab causes. Members of the two countries' delegations attended the talks. Earlier, President al-Assad arrived in Muscat this afternoon on a two –day visit to the sisterly Sultanate of Oman.
