Algeria's claims for recognition of French war crimes

Minister of Moudjahidine (war veterans), Mohamed Cherif Abbas, asserted Saturday that Algerian State's claims relating to the incrimination and the recognition of French war crimes "are still maintained till complete satisfaction."

Speaking in the margins of the 3rd national congress of the National Association of Former Condemned Prisoners (1954-1962), the minister pointed out that Algeria "has been claiming since it Independence the incrimination of French occupation and the recognition of war crimes perpetrated against the Algerian people, including particularly the nuclear tests, anti-personal mines, in addition to damages caused to men and to nature," adding that the "claims are still maintained till complete satisfaction."
