EU organising event on renewable energies in Cairo

The EU funded MED-EMIP energy project and the Regional Centre for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (RCREEE), a Cairo based think tank, are organising a full day event on renewable energies in the Middle East and North Africa in Sharm El-Sheikh on 28 June.

The programme covers topics such as renewable energy regulation, implementation of the Mediterranean Solar Plan, funding of renewable energy projects as well as local manufacturing and technology transfer. A press release said the event would bring together international and regional experts, and was directed at policy makers, specialists and private sector stakeholders.

MED-EMIP (Support for the Enhanced Integration and the Improved Security of the Euro-Mediterranean Energy Market) aims at enhancing the integration of the energy markets in the Euro-Med region and promoting improved security and sustainability.
