Oman confirmed the first case of H1N1 flu

Oman's health ministry has reported the Gulf nation's first three cases of swine flu.
Three Omani students returning from the United States have been confirmed as the Gulf Arab state's first cases of the new H1N1 flu, the state news agency ONA reported on Wednesday.

Ministry adviser Jaafar ben Ali said Wednesday the cases were diagnosed in three students who had been studying in the United States.

He said their symptoms appeared after arriving in Oman on June 13. All have been sent home after treatment.

Oman joined the Middle East countries that have reported cases of the epidemic flu, which also included Israel, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain, Qatar, Yemen, Morocco and Jordan.
