Real-time agricultural products and derivatives news, prices and market information from key sources together with powerful analytics and charting is now available to Internet connected desktops, PDAs and BlackBerry devices anywhere. The breakthrough comes with the launch today of AspectDSC Agriculture by software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider Aspect Enterprise Solutions.

Displaying current and historical prices from CBOT and CME Group, as well as FOREX tracking and relevant news and information from Dow Jones and other world sources, AspectDSC Agriculture is wholly Internet based.

Subscribers right across the agribusiness sector from producers, processors and end-users to shippers, brokers, traders and dealers, need only a compatible Web browser and Internet connection to gain access from anywhere in the world.

They can choose to track a personal menu of products and commodities from a wide range including corn, ethanol, soybeans, oil and meal, wheat, oats, rough rice, cocoa, coffee, cotton and sugar, viewing them in easily customized panels and worksheets. AspectDSC Agriculture's powerful in-built analytical and charting tools then aid buying, holding and selling decisions.

A key advantage of AspectDSC Agriculture is its speed of processing, all of which takes place at Aspect's Enterprise Solutions' server farm. End user devices act only as intelligent interactive terminals, enabling information to be displayed in real time. Alternative solutions are often Internet enabled only, loading end user devices with a processing burden and slowing the experience, particularly for mobile users.

AspectDSC Agriculture is the latest in a family of SaaS applications from specialist vendor Aspect Enterprise Solutions. Sister products AspectDSC Metals and AspectDSC Oil are already used by more than 500 leading energy industry organizations in over 65 countries and daily help inform multi-million-dollar business decisions.

Aspect Enterprise Solutions president and CEO Steve Hughes says the extension of the AspectDSC family into agriculture and derivatives is a move that will be welcomed.
