Dubai Financial Market launches Summer Stock Game for trainees

Dubai Financial Market (DFM) launched today the Summer Stock Game, a new initiative aimed at increasing understanding of financial market trading and developing skills amongst the new generation of talented youth. This stock game is dedicated to students participating in DFM's summer training programme (a seven week annual event).

This initiative is the latest of a series of events and programmes that reflect DFM's social responsibility and commitment to developing the talents of today's youth.

The new competition was inaugurated on Tuesday 21st July 2009 at DFM in the presence of Mr. Jamal Al Khadhar, Senior Vice President of the Product Development division, Dubai Financial Market, along with several other DFM officials.

Commenting on this new competition, Mubarak Al Doosari, General Coordinator of the Summer Stock Game for trainees, said:
'DFM is always engaged in various activities and programmes specifically for young people. The new summer competition demonstrates our commitment in developing the skills and abilities of today's youth. Trainees will participate in the Summer Stock Game competition from Tuesday 21st July until Tuesday 4th August 2009.'
Trainees will compete during the official DFM trading hours of 10.00am to 2.00pm and follow up stock prices through the DFM website.
