Gulf business sees growing need for smart IT

The Gulf's growing demand for sophisticated business software has led to a steep increase in the sales of solutions that can provide up-to-the-minute, company-specific information, according to industry executives. To achieve substantial efficiency gains and cost savings, Gulf companies are realizing that they need to improve collaboration and information access in order to manage customers internationally and ensure that all employees strive toward one common goal, say executives with Exact Software, a global leader in fully integrated business software solutions founded in 1984.
'Gulf businesses of all sizes are making smarter, more informed decisions than they did, say, five years ago, because they are more fully utilizing the intelligence provided to them by business software solutions,'
said Roland Rott, Exact Software's Managing Director of EMEA.

'Qatar and Saudi Arabia - with their energy-fuelled economies - are two markets where we are seeing particular demand for our technology, so we have opened offices in both countries to get our consultants as close as possible to organizations which require our solutions immediately,' he added.

Qatar has been called the world's fastest growing economy, and Saudi Arabia, with a population of close 30 million, is the Gulf's biggest economy and home to more than 25% of the world's proven oil reserves.

Exact's expansion into Doha and Riyadh will fuel its ability to win local and international multinational customers, say its executives, building on the positive development of Exact's presence in the region.

Exact's Gulf customers in the region include: Electric House Establishment in Saudi Arabia, Al Sayer Group in Kuwait, Nutricia Middle East & Africa and Siemens.

Nizar Badwan, General Manager of Exact Middle East, said:
'We want to help Gulf companies save time and money by automating processes, and by gaining a continual, real-time overview of their business operations. Exact's full-suite solutions provide centralized, fully integrated, web-based collaboration, along with capabilities in the areas of ERP, HRM, CRM, CPM and much more.'
Present in the Middle East since 2002, the international software provider now has Gulf offices in Doha, Dubai, Kuwait City, and Riyadh.
