Bahrain to host GCC conference on oil & gas investments

Bahrain announced Saturday that it will host the first GCC conference on oil, gas and petrochemical investments during the global economic crisis.
The event, which will be held on October 20-21 and will be organized by the Federation of GCC Commerce Chambers , will see the participation of many specialists and experts in Gulf energy and investment companies, as well as banks.

"Holding this conference comes out of belief in joint responsibility to raise public awareness of individuals and companies, especially at this time when the world is suffering from the financial crisis which has crippled the activity of all sectors in the world, especially investment," said a federation statement.

The topics that will be discussed during the conference include the outlook for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries in 2010-2014, as well as Gulf investment opportunities in the energy sector, and future challenges.
