Oman Air - A new route from Germany to Sultanate

Oman Air will start operating flights from Muscat to the German cities of Frankfurt and Munich during September and October this year, using its luxury Airbus A330-200 aircraft. The Sultanate’s national carrier will operate its international flights from Muscat to Frankfurt with effect from September at a rate of four flights per week. From October onwards, Oman Air will operate flights from Muscat to Munich three times a week. Peter Hill, Chief Executive Officer of Oman Air said Oman Air has major international expansion plans: Starting in October 2009, Oman Air is launching new routes from Muscat to Paris, to Maldives and to Colombo, Sri Lanka.

Furthermore a world wide brand campaign for Oman Air is scheduled to commence at the same time. It is worth noting that Oman Air currently operates international flights consisting of Airbus A330-200/300 aircraft to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Doha, Dubai, Jeddah, Kuwait and Riyadh. In addition, Oman Air flies to ten destinations in India, which are Mumbai, Chennai, Kochi, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, Delhi, Luck now, Bangalore, Kozhikode and Jaipur — as well as destinations in Bangladesh (Chittagong) and Pakistan (Karachi), Bangkok and cities in the Middle East such as Cairo, Beirut and Amman. Oman Air’s only route in Europe is currently London, Heathrow.
