Abu Dhabi - Emirates Photography Competition gets international recognition

The Emirates Photography Competition organized by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) has gained a formal recognition as an international competition from the International Federation of Photographic Art (FIAP), which is an achievement and global recognition of its status, standards and conditions, also it is a proof that competition is developing year after year.

Earlier this month, ADACH has opened the registration for the fifth session of the competition sponsored by the International Federation of Photographic Art FIAP.

The competition aims to develop a photographic movement in the United Arab Emirates, by stimulating and attracting the largest possible number of photographers and encouraging new talent and support professionals through specialized workshops, meetings and interactive seminars, and organizing personal and collective exhibitions inside and outside the country. The competition is also working on collecting art works and displaying them in all possible ways.

On the basis of being one of the professional competitions in the region, it is considering to receive the outstanding works from various schools and techniques, such as installation works, Panorama, positive and negative slides, negatives, digital images, modern art techniques, and images in different sizes which fallows the values of photography art and the conditions applied by the International Federation of Photographic Art FIAP.

The last date for registration and accepting participating in the fifth session of the competition is 15 March 2010. The competition is open for all photographers in the world and will not accept images that have participated in previous sessions.
