Dulsco has announced that it has recently started providing tanker services in Sharjah, in a move to address the increasing need for industrial and hazardous waste disposal due to rapid economic development across the emirate.

The Dulsco WMS tankers transport sewage, wastewater and hazardous liquid waste from hotels, shopping malls and other commercial establishments, as well as worker accommodations, and various industries throughout Sharjah.

In addition to a trade license from the Sharjah Government, Dulsco tankers, which operate an average of 18 hours per day, have approval from the Sharjah Municipality to be registered with the Sharjah traffic police and Sharjah Drainage section.

Paresh Karia, Senior Manager Dulsco- Sharjah, said: "The slight problems arising due to congestion are basically due to the location of the Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) within the city limits close to Sharjah Cricket Stadium and to the traffic restrictions that have to be followed to reach there. The new STP being developed by Sharjah Municipality in Sajja will help to ease this problem as tankers collecting sewage water from Sajja and areas close to Emirates Road will not need to travel within the city for disposal."

"Considering the rapid economic development being witnessed across Sharjah, more emphasis must be given to increasing disposal facilities for industrial and hazardous waste. Efficient and organised waste management is crucial to maintaining a healthy and hygienic environment. Dulsco Sharjah is meeting that requirement and is contributing effectively to making the emirate cleaner and greener," Paresh added.

The company has revealed that in addition to increasing the customer base of companies using waste related services in Sharjah in future, Dulsco also intends to actively promote HR related services as well.

Dulsco, with a 70 year reputation for service and a vast and comprehensive know-how in waste management services (WMS), enjoys valuable business partnerships with leading companies within various industrial sectors in Sharjah. As part of its customer relationship management program, Dulsco seeks regular feedback about its services, whereby company officials make regular visits to key clients to see if their expectations are being adequately met, and yearly customer satisfaction surveys are conducted. This feedback provides more ideas on what more can be done to maintain the provision of high quality services to clients.
