UAE (Abu Dhabi) – More than 1200 people have enjoyed the magical Symphonic Masterworks by conductor Lorin Maazel and the Vienna Philharmonic took place last Monday in Emirates Palace as part of Abu Dhabi Classics program.

Tickets for the concert sold out last week. Among the audience a group of 80 European cultural travelers who spend one week in the UAE.

The concert is part of Abu Dhabi Classics; a year long program organized by Abu Dhabi Authority for Culture and Heritage (ADACH) to features world top orchestras.

The concert attended by Shikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of Foreign Trade, Dr. Zaki Anwar Nusseibeh ,ADACH Deputy Chairman and number of ambassadors and diplomats.

Members of the Vienna Philharmonic and conductor Lorin Maazel explain and perform Beethoven on Tuesday morning in young people’s concert. Beethoven is one of music history’s most composers introduced by a legendary maestro and musicians from one of the world’s greatest orchestras. Around 1000 students from various schools attended the educational concert and interacted with the conductor and members of the orchestra.

The inimitable Vienna Philharmonic, under a conductor closely associated with this legendary orchestra, brings its unique instrumental colors to three of the most evocative nature-paintings in the entire repertoire: Beethoven’s immortal symphonic depiction of a visit to the countryside, Debussy’s dazzlingly vivid portrait of the sea at three times of day, and excerpts from Ravel’s gorgeous ballet based on Greek myth, including its famous musical depiction of sunrise.
