Supporting football team - 3000 Egyptian flags distributed in England

England will play a World Cup warm-up match against reigning African Cup of Nations champions Egypt in March.
The Egyptian Ministry of Defence supports Egyptian national football team by distributing 3000 Egyptian flags to the Egyptian and Arab community.

According to the press office at the militarily department, the Egyptian embassy in London, the Commander in Chief of the Armed Forces and Minister of Defence sent these flags and distributed on Friday 26th February by the Egyptian defence office in London.

England have faced Egypt twice before, with the most recent meeting coming at the World Cup Finals in Italy 19 years ago when Sir Bobby Robson's side won 1-0.

Capello feels Egypt, who have won the Cup of Nations six times, will give England some much-needed experience of facing north African opposition.

Capello is likely to use the match to run the rule over several potential members of his World Cup squad before he settles on his final 23 in June.

"The match will be significant for Capello and his England players, having been drawn alongside Egypt's fellow North Africans Algeria in Group C at the World Cup," read a statement from the English Football Association.

England are also likely to face Mexico in another friendly in May, before taking on Japan while at a pre-tournament training camp in Austria.
