Morocco (Casablanca) Presided over by HM King Mohammed VI, the Moroccan Ministry of Industry, Trade and New Technologies in partnership with the Moroccan Companies Confederation (CGEM) and Moroccan Banks Association (GPBM), is organising the 1st National Conference on Industry which will take place on Tuesday, 30th March 2010 in Tangier.

The main objective of the event is to unite all the parties involved in the National Pact for Industrial Emergence (PNEI 2009-2015), in order to evaluate the success of the Pact during its first year of implementation. The occasion will also be an opportunity to bring together the key participants from both the public and private sectors to discuss a unique objective: that of making tomorrow’s Morocco a truly first-class industrial platform.

The public/private contract programme will address the following issues:
* Developing Morocco’s four “World Trades” with a focus on direct investment (Offshoring, Automotive Industry, Electronics, Aeronautics and Space);
* Boosting Morocco’s two traditional sectors (Leather and Textiles and the Food Industry);
* Developing integral industrial platforms (P21);
* Encouraging new business opportunities;
* Improving the competitiveness of small- and medium-sized companies;
* Providing relevant training to meet the needs of the employment market.

A large number of national and international groups will take part in this extremely important event, which will be attended exclusively by top level employees and company executives.
