Nine horses took part in the Group 2 race which is part of a three-race series that carries a bonus prize fund of Euros 20,000 and Scoubidou De Carrere earned five points for the win while Periander gets four and Al Ryma three. The next two races for the Bonus Fund will be in Holland and Poland.

A large crowd of nearly 8,000 watched the night’s racing and Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan won three of the four races for Purebred Arabian races. Salaamah won the first race of the meeting for Shaikh Mansoor and Musharab won the second race to make it two wins on the trot for the winning owner.

Shaikh Mansoor’s Dahwa won the Prix de L’Elevage Group 2 race for fillies, a Group 2 race after the Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup race was held.

HE Mohamed Meer Abdalla Al Raeesi, Hon’ble Ambassador-designate of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of France, Abdullah Al Qubaisi, Director of Communications Department at ADACH, Stephen Bowey, Director of Communications at Invest AD, Lara Sawaya, Director of the Sheikh Mansoor Festival, Alain Desgrange, President of Hippodrome de Toulouse and Jean Pierre De Gaste, Chairman, L'association Francaise du Cheval Arabe de Course (AFAC) attended the prize distribution function and awarded the trophies to the winners.

The UAE and France have been great supporters of the Arabian horses and such events will boost the ties between the two countries,” said His Excellency Mohamed Meer Abdalla Al Raeesi.

“The racecourse here in Toulouse is one of the most important racing centres in Europe and to see it fully decked with pictures and placards of the UAE is a great sight. “It is amazing to see the fans turn out here in support of Purebred Arabian racing. We thank HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan for giving us this opportunity to be part of this Festival,” said Stephen Bowey, representing Invest AD, one of the co-sponsors.
