Oman Social Development Minister, Dr. Shareefa bint Khalfan al Yahyaeyah received in Muscat Minister of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Poland, Prof. Barbara Kudrycka
Oman Social Development Minister, Dr. Shareefa bint Khalfan al Yahyaeyah received in Muscat Minister of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Poland, Prof. Barbara Kudrycka who is currently visiting the Sultanate.

The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the Social Development Ministry and the Polish Science and Higher Education Ministry, particularly in the field of training workers responsible for the disabled sector or the programmes related to the social development and training the families of the social insurance by placing them in the higher education diploma in the light of the grants that they are receiving currently.

The guest expressed her delight for the comprehensive progress in all walks of life in the Sultanate, particularly in the education sector, affirming that there will be future cooperation between the Sultanate and Poland, especially in the science and higher education sector.

The meeting was attended by Ahmed bin Rashid al Ma'amari, Undersecretary of the Social Development Ministry and the delegation accompanying the Guest

Morover, Yousef bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Oman Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs received in his office here today the Minister of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Poland.

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation relations between the two friendly countries in various fields and means of enhancing and promoting them, especially in the educational side, besides, exchanging views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

The meeting was attended by Khaddeja bint Hassan al Lawatiyah, Head of the Minister's Office Department, Salim bin Abdullah Burham, Head of the East Europe Department, the delegation accompanying the guest and a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry.

Yesterday, Oman Education Minister, Yahya bin Saud al Sulaimi, met with the Minister of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Poland, who is currently visiting the Sultanate of Oman.

The meeting discussed the potential of the educational cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing it. It also discussed the mechanism of coordinating contact between the two ministries to determine the joint fields for cooperation.

A briefing was presented on the march of education in the Sultanate and the development that this march has gone through.

The meeting was attended by a number of educational officials from both sides

On the other hand, Dr. Hilal bin Ali bin Zahir al Hinai, Secretary General of The Research Council (TRC) received the Minister of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Poland and her accompanying delegation.

The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries in the research, science and technology fields.

Dr. al Hinai briefed the guest on the programmes and efforts exerted by the council within the framework of building a research base, besides, spreading the research awareness and innovation programmes which the Council has adopted and start implementing them in conjunction with other concerned authorities in the Sultanate.

During her visit to the Sultanate of Oman, The Polish Minister of Science and Higher Education visited the Sultan's Armed Forces (SAF) Museum.

The guest toured the museum's various sections and viewed models of the architectural design of Bait Al Falaj Castle.

She was briefed on the progress enjoyed by SAF under the prosperous era of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces.

The Minister of Science and Higher Education in the Republic of Poland expressed her delight with the magnificence of building and the cultural heritage of the Sultanate, as well as, aspects of progress commending the museum and its manuscripts that reflect the Omani civilization, its ancient past and bright present.
