Syrian Airlines to link Madrid Damascus route using ATR 72 planes

Syria (Damascus) - Syrian Arab Airlines announced on Sunday that it will link flights from Madrid to Damascus along with the local flights from Damascus to Aleppo and vice versa using its modern planes 'ATR 72' as of June 1st.

The national carrier said the move comes to provide comfort for the passengers traveling from Aleppo's Airport to Madrid through Damascus Airport, adding that the passengers will travel to Damascus by the ATR 72 airplanes then to Madrid by other plane.

Syrian Arab Airlines has lately received the two ATR 72 planes after the Commercial Bank of Syria Funded the purchase deal at the amount of USD 45 millions and operated them on local and short regional routs.

The ATR72 planes are economic and equipped with an entertainment system. They contain 12 business class seats and 54 economy class seats. (SANA)
