Saudi Arabia (Jeddah) - As a further demonstration of its commitment to the Saudi market, Abu Dhabi Media Company (ADMC) has announced the opening of its first office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

This much-anticipated office, located in Jeddah, will enable KSA advertisers to connect more closely with ADMC and its increasing list of exciting broadcast, print and digital media brands. The move will also give a new dimension to ADMC's news coverage, as correspondents from the various print and broadcast brands will be reporting locally.

The opening ceremony was held under the patronage of the Saudi minister of culture and information, HE Dr Abdulaziz Khoja, and was attended by representatives from the UAE council in Jeddah.

Edward Borgerding, CEO of ADMC, said: "ADMC is pleased to be opening its first office in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, one of the most strategically important territories for the media industry in this region. The Middle East is a dynamic and rapidly-expanding market, and KSA is at the heart of that growth, with some of the most sophisticated and savvy media consumers. We look forward to having more of a presence in KSA through our office in Jeddah." Commenting on the expansion, Mr. Mohammed Al-Hammadi, Head of KSA Office, said: "KSA is one of the most significant markets in the Middle East, with the largest consumer base in the Gulf as well as many of the most frequent media consumers. With direct presence in the country, ADMC will be closer to our audiences, which will help us to understand their needs better and ensure we continue producing the highest-quality Arab content and services in the region." The KSA office in Jeddah marks the beginning of ADMC's presence in the Kingdom, as the company has plans to open a second office in Riyadh. The company already has a strong regional presence, with headquarters in Abu Dhabi and offices in Cairo, Dubai, Beirut and Jeddah.

The new KSA team in Jeddah will represent the company's brands and business units across broadcast, publishing, and digital. Mr. Raja Halabi, Executive Director of ADMC's Commercial Division said: "Establishing on-ground presence in KSA is a definite milestone for ADMC.

It was important for us to make this strategic move and be within closer reach of our clients, advertisers, media agencies and partners. Having a solid existence in KSA will surely give us a more hands-on approach to dealing with the demands of the market and to quickly addressing the needs of all our stakeholders." ADMC's KSA office is located in Jeddah in the Bin Humran Center on Ameer Mohamed Bin Abdul Aziz Street (also known as Al Tahleya Street). (WAM)
