Oman, Tunisia enhancing bilateral cooperation

Tunisia (Tunis) - Yahya bin Saud al Sulaimi, Oman Education Minister and his accompanying delegation arrived in Republic of Tunisia on an official several day visit to lead the Omani side in the 13th session's meetings of the Omani-Tunisian Joint Committee.

He was received on his arrival by Hatim bin Salim, Tunisia Education Minister, Hussain bin Omar al Ibrahim, Sultanate's ambassador to Tunisia and a number of officials at the Tunisia Education Ministry.

The Omani-Tunisian Joint Committee meetings will discuss aspects of cooperation between the two brotherly countries in the area of education and exchanging documents, publications and expertise. The committee will also discuss joint cooperation in the areas of agriculture, fisheries, social development, municipalities', transport and communications, cultural, medial, awqaf and religious affairs.

The committee will also review economic, trade and investment cooperation in the private sector in both countries.

The delegation accompanying the minister comprises a number of officials representing various sectors and a delegation represents businessman and businesswomen in the Sultanate.(ONA)
