Women in Business International and The Middle East Association  invite you to attend their Summer Networking Reception and ‘Question Time’ on Monday 14 June, from 4.30-7.30 pm at The Middle East Association, 33 Bury Street, St James’s, London SW1.

The main theme of the event, which will be run on a dynamic, interactive ‘Question Time’ format, will be the development of media and communications in the Arab world and will address such issues as,

- What makes a story newsworthy for the Arab media, and how does it differ from the UK?
- How do I communicate my message effectively in the Arab world, and how can I raise my company’s profile?
- How does the media and communications industry work in the region?
- Is the Arab media influencing the way the people think, or is it a reflection of the ‘vox pop’ of the Arab world?

The event will be hosted by Baroness Symons of Vernham Dean, Vice President of the Middle East Association and Patron of Women in Business International. Main speaker and interrogative journalist will be Alison Bell, Managing Director Globell Communications, a broadcast journalist and businesswoman with over twenty years experience of the international media industry, who has run acclaimed communications training seminars for Women in Business and the MEA.

Panellists will include Hosny Emam, President of the Foreign Press Association and journalist for Kuwait News Agency in the UK; and Rob Foyle, Senior Associate Director, Hill & Knowlton, who has many years experience of working with Arab and international clients in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf.

The Summer Networking Reception and Question Time will offer excellent high level networking opportunities. Registration will commence at 4.30pm. The event will begin at 5.00pm and will close with a networking reception.

If you would like to attend, or would like further information, please contact Louise Waters at the Middle East Association, tel: 020 7839 2137, email: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
