Saudi Arabia, Egypt sign electricity linkage contract

Egypt Minister of Electricity and Energy Hassan Younis has witnessed the inking of a contract to detect the maritime route of the Egyptian-Saudi electricity linkage cable.

In statements, Younis said the maritime survey will start in September and will last for about a month.

The contract also includes conducting an environmental study to protect coral reefs in the Red Sea, Younis added.(SIS)
