Oman invests $ 187.21 million in infrastructure and development projects

Oman (Muscat) - The Finance Ministry approved nine agreements and three variation orders worth $ 187.21 million (RO.72,095,000), as part of the development projects implemented by the government in various sectors.

The agreements included the rehabilitation of Nizwa-Thumrait road, fourth stage, part 3 ( RO.32 million) with 972-day implementation period, consultancy services for Muscat International and Salalah Airports (RO.14,816,000) with 66-month implementation period, construction of water network in the wilayat of Sumail (RO.11,916,000) with 25-month implementation period, rehabilitation of the pumping line and the construction of new lines for Salalah Wastewater Services company (RO.2,890,000) with 242-day implementation period.

Approved agreements also included the design and implementation of roads connection in Hamra Al Drou in the wilayat of Ibri (RO.2,511,000) with 600-day implementation period, changing the high tension power lines into ground cables on Salalah / Thumrait road (RO.1,485,000) with 194-day implementation period, construction of a co-basic education school in Seeh Al Maashi in the wilayat of Bahla (RO.842,000) with 434-day implementation period, consultancy services for the construction of Hasik/Al Shuwaimiyah road (RO.612,000) with 15-month implementation period and updating and developing of the financial system at IT department in the Finance Ministry (RO.244,000) with 9-month implementation period.

It also approved the variation order No. 4 related to the designing and construction of a runway in the wilayat of Adam in the Al Dakhiliyah Region (RO.3,357,000) with 150-day implementation period, the variation order No. 6 related to the maintenance of the damaged roads due to the adverse weather conditions in the wilayats of Nizwa , Al Hamra , Al Khabourah, Liwa , Shinas and Saham (RO.897,000) with 150-day implementation period and variation order No. 2 related to the operation and maintenance of Al Masarat water basin ( RO.525,000) with 16-month implementation period.
