Kuwaiti Foreign Minister and British Foreign Secretary look to the future

Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Al-Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah is visiting London to enhance relation with UK.
The Foreign Minister of Kuwait has met the British Foreign Secretary William Hague today, on the 20th anniversary of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait.

Following the meeting, Global Arab Network received a statement of the British Foreign Secretary saying:
"Today I met the Foreign Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Dr Mohammad Al-Sabah. It is not an accident that we met today, on the 20th anniversary of Iraq's invasion of Kuwait, a significant day for both our countries, and a milestone in our long-standing relationship. But our discussion confirmed for me how far both Kuwait and the wider region have come since that time.

We were able to focus not on history but on how to deepen further the relationship between the UK and Kuwait, including through trade, and the key role that Kuwait now plays in the Gulf region. We also discussed how the relationship between Kuwait and Iraq could be developed, and I look forward to continuing that conversation."
