UAE, Netherlands sign agreement for judicial & legal cooperation

UAE Minister of Justice Dr. Hadef bin Jouan Al Dhahiri and his Dutch counterpart Ernst Hirsch Ballin signed a memorandum of understanding on judicial and legal cooperation in criminal matters and the exchange of legal expertise.

The MOU comes in the framework of joint cooperation between the two countries and enhance bilateral relations developed in all fields between the UAE and the Netherlands, said Dr. Al Dhahiri.

It included an agreement for full cooperation in the legal and judicial matters and exchange of experiences and the training of members of the judiciary between the two sides.

He added that the MOU will be a prelude to other judicial and legal agreements between UAE and Netherlands in the near future.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ali Thani Al-Suwaidi, UAE Ambassador to Netherlands and Chancellor Abdul Rahman Murad Al Balushi, Director of International Cooperation at the Ministry of Justice.
