Egypt, Yemen to establish joint oil & gas company

The Yemeni-Egyptian technical committee for cooperation in the field of oil, gas and mining put the final touches on a project to establish a Yemeni-Egyptian oil company, the first ever between the two countries in this domain.

The two countries agreed to cement cooperation between them in the oil and gas domain after two days of meetings.

The company will be the first of its kind between both states, Egyptian Ambassador to Yemen Mohamed Morsi Awad said on August 9th 2010. It will be an example to follow for cementing cooperation among countries, he added.

Both sides asserted their keenness on activating and developing cooperation relations in the coming stage for the interest of both peoples within the framework of excellent Egyptian-Yemeni ties in the different domains, Awad added
