Oman (Muscat) - Omani Consumer Products Exhibition is opened today in Oman International Exhibition Centre under the auspices of Hilal bin Hamad Al-Hassani, Executive President of the Public Establishment for Industrial Estates (PEIE). The exhibition is organized by the Eastern Coastal Company for Exhibition and Festival Organization in cooperation with Omani companies for promoting the national products. The exhibition will last for several days.

Hilal said that this exhibition comes within the framework of supporting the Omani products and making the society, consumer whether national or resident familiar with the home-made products that are marked by high quality and accuracy. It also aims at providing the consumers with awareness about the Omani products, industries as well as emphasizing the importance of purchasing the local products.

In a statement to the journalists, Hilal added that the exhibition is one of the important exhibitions that targets the promotion of the Omani products and craft industries, indicating that he is proud to see a appeal on the Omani products not only in the local markets but also in the global markets, pressing that PEIE works on boosting the role of the emerging businessmen participating in the exhibition by coordination with the small and medium enterprises (SME) and Knowledge Miner in Knowledge Oasis - Muscat that is specialized in adopting the Omani youth and their IT projects.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition would display a number of products, including various foodstuff and industrial products such as textiles, garments, carpets, plastic products, chemicals, petrochemicals, ceramic products, drugs, leather products, paper products and others.

The exhibition will include a number of entertainments and various shows for Al-Dan Band of the Cultural and Arts Theatre to be displayed during the whole period of the exhibition. The Celebration of Qaranqashoo will be amongst the events that would include several activities.
