Qatar: ID Card Gets International Certificate of Compliance to Standards

Qatar (Doha) - The Ministry of Interior has obtained the international Certificate of Compliance to Standards of ID Card from Gemalto, a global company specialized in printing and issuing smart cards.

This certificate assures that Qatari National ID Card is a multi-application card and complies with the general specifications of the smart cards global platform. Further, the ID Card is equipped with state of the art digital security features and implementing utmost secure graphical security features.

Smart ID Card also complies with the related standards of ISO, Java Card Standard and International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) standards related to travel documents and smart cards.
