Morocco: "Destins croisés" and “Terminus des Anges” to be screened at Montreal World Film Festival

Montreal - Two Moroccan movies will be screened at the Montreal World Film Festival, along with 430 movies from 80 countries.

"Destins croisés" by Driss Chouika and “Terminus des Anges” by Narjis Najjar, Mohamed Mouftakir and Hicham Lasri will represent Morocco in the international cinema event, held from August 26 to September 6.

The Festival, which brings together several eminent cinema professional from around the world, is meant to promote cultural diversity and understanding among nations, stimulate quality cinema and encourage new talents, organizers say.

An international official Jury will award the festival’s various prizes including Grand Prix of the Americas, Special Grand Prix of the Jury, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Actor, Best Screenplay, Best Artistic Contribution and the Innovation Award.

The festival features a section dubbed “Focus on World Cinema”, which reflects the vocation of the Festival as a "World Film Festival".
