Morocco - A leading destination for Spanish businessmen

Madrid - Morocco, which is committed to a policy of modernization and openness, is a leading destination for Spanish businessmen, Spanish paper "El Mundo" said on Sunday.

Thanks to its economic and political stability, Morocco has launched over the past few years a process of modernization and openness to improve the legal environment of business, the daily underlined.

Morocco made use of its economic dynamism to become a crucial platform for Spanish businesses eager to gain a foothold abroad, said the paper, highlighting the number of Spanish enterprises which opened their doors in Morocco during the last years.

The Moroccan economy, which was resilient to the global slowdown, is living its golden era, it added, stressing the importance of Morocco's national pact for industrial emergence which is meant to boost competing sectors such as the offshoring, car industry, aeronautics, electronics and textile.

Quoted by the paper, Moroccan Economy Minister Salaheddine Mezouar said the North African country is a privileged destination for Iberian businesses due to their geographical closeness.
