Syria Hosts Presidential Conference of Federation Internationale de l'Automobile

Syria (Damascus) – Damascus hosts the Presidential Conference of Federation Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) which includes 111 automobile clubs from Europe, West Asia and Africa from 20 to 22 of September.

The conference, held in Damascus -for the first time outside Europe, will discuss mechanisms for developing automobile clubs throughout the three continents in the fields of tourism, road safety, environment and boosting clubs' services, particularly with regard to tourism and providing assistance in emergency situations.

Head of Syria's Automobile Club, also Deputy Chairman of the First Region of FIA said that Syria will present a work-paper which includes proposals and projects for developing cooperation with Arab clubs in addition to a draft on establishing tourist services center which would cover the Arab region in addition to the mutual services between Automobile clubs' members.

Members of the Presidential Council of FIA enthusiastically accepted the invitation of Syria due to the developing activities of Syria Automobile Club up to an internationally well-known high level.
