Jordan TV: EU helps Southern Mediterranean countries face water crisis

How can the EU help the countries of the Southern Mediterranean face the water crisis? This is the subject of a documentary produced by the EU-funded project Euromed News, recently broadcast by the Jordanian Television, and now available for viewing on the project’s website.

The documentary focuses on the situation in Jordan, highlighting the projects the EU is supporting in the region in order to find solutions to better exploit and develop water resources, reports Global Arab Network according to an press release.

The EuroMed-News project aims to broaden knowledge about the EU's policies in the region and the relationship between the EU and individual Mediterranean countries. Spearheaded by France Télévisions, it brings together broadcasters in Europe and in Algeria, Jordan, Libya, Syria, Morocco and Lebanon. Together, they will produce 300 news features, 40 short current affairs programmes and nine 26-minute documentaries.

EuroMed-News is funded under the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI) through EuropeAid’s €19 million Regional Information and Communication Programme.
