Oman - Mazyounah Free Zone is GCC Gateway to Yemen and Horn of Africa

Oman (Muscat) - Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) organized in the chamber premises a seminar on Al Mazyounah Free Zone Project under the auspices of Khalil bin Abdullah al Khunji, OCCI Chairman in the presence of Dr. Salah bin Khalifa al Jari, Chairman of Golden Hala Trading & Contracting Co., Abdul-Rahman Khamis Obeid, Ambassador of the Yemeni Republic, in addition,to the participation of the Directo of Al Mazyounah Free Zone and a number of businessmen and businesswomen

In his statement during the seminar, Al-Khunji pinpointed the economic value of Al Mazyounah free zone in Wilayat of Al Mazyounah and the actual opportunities provided by the free zone, indicating that the project comes within the framework of the Gulf economic cooperation, as it adds more strength to the successful path being followed by the Arabian Gulf states in all fields.

Al Jari, said in his word during the seminar that Golden Hala Trading & Contracting Co. is one of Jawharat Al Fanar Group of companies that work on developing the infrastructure Superstructure of the region that includes the establishment of an integrated zone for services and facilities being run as per the world's standards for the free zones

Al Jari added that this project is one of the important Gulf projects due to its distinguished location between Oman and Yemen as it would be the land outlet of the AGCC states to Yemen and the Horn of Africa.

During the seminar, Golden Hala Trading & Contracting Co. provided an explanation about the project and the implementation strategy as it works on constructing an economic free zone that would contribute in increasing the Sultanate's regional competition by attracting and developing the local and international investment.

Al Mazyounah Free Zone Director emphasized that the zone currently provides the proper conditions and facilities for the commencement of the various investments

Abdul-Rahman Khamis Obeid, Ambassador of the Yemeni Republic Pointed to the strong relations between the two brotherly countries, confirming that the concerned authorities in the two sides are working for reinforcing and promoting such economic projects that serve the joint economic interests.
