Jordan encourages Japan to participate in mega-projects

Japan (Tokyo) – Jordanian Prime Minister Sameer Al Rifai arrived Tuesday in Tokyo where he is scheduled to meet with his counterpart Naoto Kan and several other Japanese officials to discuss means to enhance Jordanian-Japanese relations.

During his three-day official working visit, Rifai will meet with representatives from the Japanese private sector, including major companies, to acquaint them with investment opportunities in the Kingdom. Rifai will highlight the country’s proposed mega-projects in various key sectors and explore the possibility of Japanese companies participating in investment opportunities in Jordan..

The premier is accompanied on the visit by Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources Khalid Irani, Minister of Industry and Trade Amer Hadidi, Transport Minister Alaa Batayneh, Minister of Public Sector Development and Minister of State for Mega-Projects Imad Fakhoury, and Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Jafar Hassan.
