GEW - Egypt Hosts Global Entrepreneurship Week

Egypt (Cairo) - Egyptian Trade and Industry Minister Rachid Mohamed Rachid, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Hani Helal and CIT Minister Tarek Kamel will inaugurate the Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW) on 4 November which will run until 10 November.

The event is organized by the Middle East Council for Small Business & Entrepreneurship (MCSBE), the Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC) and the Social Fund for Development (SFD).

Speaking during a press conference for official announcement of the
GEW, Rachid pressed for adopting integrated initiatives through various organizations to disseminate the entrepreneurial culture.

Rachid also pointed to the related initiatives launched over the past period.

The government is keen on supporting the private sector and creating a favourable atmosphere for investment, Rachid said.

The GEW will connect young Egyptians everywhere through local and national activities designed to help them explore their potentials as self-starters and innovators.

Students, educators, entrepreneurs, business leaders, employees, non-profit leaders, government officials and many others will participate in a range of activities, from online to face-to-face, and from large-scale competitions and events to intimate networking gatherings.
