Egypt's Minister of Transport Alaa Fahmi said that several world countries want to invest in the transport sector in Egypt, with special focus on maritime transport.
In statements, Fahmi said the sea transport sector has a strong infrastructure, adding that Egyptian ports use state-of-the-art technologies.

He also referred to Egypt's distinguished geographical location.

Fahmi said Egypt has promising chances for investments, given that the country enjoys political and economic stability.

The Egyptian official praised the positive outcome of a visit by two delegations from Turkey and Romania to Alexandria Port Authority and their meetings with senior officials at the Ministry of Transport.

The Turkish delegation said that Turkey is keen on establishing a regular navigation line to transport goods and passengers between Egypt's Alexandria and a Turkish port.

The Romanian guests underscored the need for setting up a navigation line between Alexandria port and Konstanz sea port to foster bilateral cooperation.
