Jordan, UAE sign MoU to enhance insurance cooperation

Jordan (Amman) - Jordan's Insurance Commission(IC) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Insurance Authority to enhance insurance cooperation and exchange expertise, statistical data and insurance studies between the two sides.

The MoU was signed by IC Deputy Director General Raed Haddadin and his UAE counterpart Fatima Al Awadi.

The MoU comes within the vision of the commission to develop the Jordanian insurance sector and cement relations with regional and international regulators on the insurance sector.

The Insurance Commission, which was established in 1999 as an administratively and financially independent organization, aims to regulate the local insurance sector and provide a suitable environment to enhance its role through upgrading the efficiency of the insurance institutions operating in the market and improving their performance.
