Business delegation: Oman, Morocco strengthening economic ties

Morocco (Rabat) - An important delegation of Omani businessmen has visited Morocco, with a view to reinforce bilateral economic ties, a release by the Moroccan Agency for Investment Promotion (AMDI) said.

The delegation held talks with AMDI officials on investment opportunities offered by the kingdom, notably in the fields of industry, transport, renewable energies and tourism, on the sidelines of the meeting of the Moroccan-Omani Committee, held on Tuesday in Rabat, the release underlined.

The meeting also aims to explore the Moroccan market and create a Moroccan-Omani fund, to be supported by the governments of the two countries, as well as their private sectors.

The representatives of AMDI highlighted Morocco's different sectoral strategies and presented investment project, which attracted the attention of the Omani part.

The Omani delegation comprises the president of the Moroccan-Omani council of businessmen, Mounir Ben Abdou Annabi Youssef Makki, along several businessmen representing different sectors. (MAP)
