CANBERRA, Australia — As part of the Sultanate’s celebration of the 40th National Day, the Ministry of Tourism inaugurated a replica of Jibrin Castle and its surroundings at Cockington Green Gardens here yesterday.

The event was covered by the press which noted that the fortress was unique for its simplicity, decorations and architecture, which represent the essence of Oman’s hospitality.

Cockington Green Gardens comprises replicas of some of the most famous international landmarks from 26 countries.

Jibrin Castle replica, presented as a gift to Cockington Green Gardens, is a representation of high quality. It depicts the full architectural features of the fortress, which lies in the Wilayat of Bahla.

The ceremony was presided over by Hamad bin Mohammed al Hajri, Consul General of the Sultanate in Australia. (ONA)
