Kuwait Hosts Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable Meeting

KUWAIT - Kuwait Oil Ministry will host in mid April the Asian Ministerial Energy Roundtable Meeting, with participation of 28 countries and number of international organizations that deal with oil, gas, and power.

The ministry said in a press release that Kuwait started preparations for event.

The meeting will be attended by representatives of Asian oil producing and consuming countries, it pointed out.

The meeting will also be attended by International Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC), it said.

The ministers will discuss ideas for a better future for the oil industry, it added.

The ministry formed a higher committee to prepare for the meeting, which will coincide with the national celebrations of 50th anniversary of independence and the 20th anniversary of liberation.

The meeting is held every two years in one of the Asian countries.

The previous meeting was held in Saudi Arabia.
