Canada exploring investment opportunities in Qatar

Qatar_Submits_Bid_to_Host_World_Chambers_Congress

Qatar (Doha) - Businessmen from Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry(QCCI) and a visiting delegation of businessmen from the Canadian Province of Ontario, headed Minister for Economic Development and Trade Sandra Pupatello, held a joint a meeting.

The meeting aimed to increase cooperation between the two sides and to brief the Canadian delegation on investment opportunities available in the State of Qatar as well as explain the advantages offered by the Ontario Province to the Qatari investors.

Addressing the meeting, HE Chairman of Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry (QCCI) Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al Thani said that Qatar is witnessing a comprehensive economic development based on infrastructure development that meets the requirements of economic and social development.

He added that Qatar National Vision is based on economic diversification and partnership between public and private sectors, highlighting the role of this partnership in the promotion of further cooperation between Qatari businessmen and their counterparts from around the world.

He described the visit of the Canadian delegation to Doha as a good occasion to discuss cooperation between the private sector of both countries in various fields, especially in the field of medical services, explaining the role played by these activities in the promotion of economic diversification in Qatar. He hoped that the result of this meeting would come out with concrete results beneficial to both sides.

For her part, the Canadian Minister Sandra Pupatello said the delegation seeks to open new horizons for fruitful cooperation between the two sides, indicating that the delegation include a number of businessmen and heads of major competent companies in the province, in various fields, especially from the health , construction sectors and others. She expressed hope that the meeting would achieve fruitful cooperation between investors from both sides.

She also invited Qatari investors to come and invest in the Ontario Province (QNA)
