Oman, Yemen sign cooperation agreements

Oman (Muscat) - The 11th meeting of the Omani -Yemeni Joint Committee meetings which discussed a number of issues related to the bilateral cooperation between the two countries in all fields concluded at Muscat Intercontinental Hotel this evening.

At the end of the meetings, an MoU for cooperation in the legal field was signed between the Sultanate's government and the Yemeni Republic government. The Executive Programme for Educational Cooperation between the Sultanate's government and the brotherly Yemeni governments for the years 2011-2013 was also signed.

The MoU and the executive programme were signed by Dr. Khamis bin Mubarak al Alawi, Transport & Communications Minister and head of the Omani side at the joint committee on behalf of the Omani side while Khalid Ibrahim, Transport and Communications Minister and Chairman of the Yemeni side at the Committee signed for his country.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Sultanate's ambassador to the Yemeni Republic and the Yemeni ambassador to the Sultanate, as well as, members of the joint committee from the two sides.
