Syria Spending $ 130 Million on Teaching Devices in Schools

Syria (Damascus) - Minister of Higher Education Ali Saad on Wednesday said more than SYP 6 billion ($ 130 Million) are allocated for the teaching devices at the schools with the aim of providing the best teaching environment for the students.

In a press statement, Minister Saad underlined the importance of providing the schools with the suitable teaching devices every academic year, calling for investing them in the optimal way according to the number of schools and students in each province.

He indicated that these devices would enhance the role of teachers and students through helping them to understand the curriculum, in addition to increasing and preserving the concentration of the students.

The Minister expected that the teaching devices will meet the needs of the schools and the curriculum according to the plan of the Ministry of Higher Education which determines the diagrams of its projects including the curriculum.

He pointed out that these technical methods are not the only required means for developing the teaching infrastructure and their absence doesn't hinder the achievement of the educational development's goals. However; their existence will achieve the best outcomes.
