Oman (Muscat) - Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed al Saeedi, Health Minister received today the team of experts of the National Clinical Guideline Centre (NCGC) at the Royal College of Physicians of London, UK, who are currently visiting the Sultanate.

During the meeting, cordial conversations were exchanged and fields of cooperation between the two sides, particularly in the health fields were discussed.

Then, the team gave a briefing on the activities carried out by NCGC and the future vision of cooperation aspects between the Sultanate and the centre in the health field, particularly in the areas related to training the national carders and expertise exchange between the Sultanate and the Royal College.

The meeting also discussed forming a working team from the national carders to coordinate with NCGC on the Sultanate carrying out guidelines based on scientific proof and foundations of quality control, as well as, the assessment at the level of the various health institutions in the Sultanate.

The programme of the team included visits to a number of health institutions in the Sultanate included the Royal Hospital, Sultan Qaboos University Hospital and Nizwa Hospital.

The team also met with Dr. Mohammed bin Said al Hosany, Undersecretary of the Health Ministry for Health Affairs. The meeting discussed aspects of cooperation between the two sides.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Health Ministry for Health Affairs and a number of officials at the ministry.
