Trade Minister: India Investing in Egypt

Egypt’s Trade and Industry Minister Samiha Fawzi said 44 Indian companies, operating in Egypt, are still investing in the country despite the recent events.

The Indian firms did not face any problems affecting their production volume, said Fawzi after a meeting with Indian Ambassador in Cairo R. Swaminathan.

The Egyptian official added her ministry is ready to solve any problems facing Indian factories in Egypt and offer facilities to attract new investments in the phase to come.

On the political reforms, Trade and Industry Minister said that political reforms in Egypt will represent a historic change in political life and help the country achieve a genuine democracy.

Fawzi was speaking to reporters after her meetings with French Ambassador to Egypt Jean-Felix Paganon and Turkish Ambassador in Cairo Hussein Awni.(SIS)
