Oman to Host Asian Beach Football Qualifiers

Oman (Muscat) - The Sultanate will host from February 27th to March 4th 2011, the Asian Beach Football Qualifiers for the World Cup to be organized during September 2011 in the Italian capital city of Rome.

Twelve national teams namely, Bahrain, UAE, Qatar, China, Iran, Uzbekistan, Syria, Indonesia, Iraq, Japan, Kuwait, in addition to our national team have confirmed their official participation.

The organizing committee in the International Football Association announced that the participating national teams will perform the lot on February 23rd as they will be divided into three groups, every group comprises four national teams. Our national team will be on top of the first group because it is the hosting national team.

The apology of the national teams of Yemen, Palestine and Afghanistan has resulted in adopting a new mechanism for the group distribution to be three groups instead of four groups.
