Oman, Finland Strengthening Educational Cooperation

Finland (Helsinki) - Yahya bin Saud al Sulaimi, Education Minister has held a session of talks with the Finnish Minister of Education and Science during the visit of al Sulaimi to the Republic of Finland.

The session reviewed fields of the educational cooperation between the two countries and the educational experience of Finland in terms of curriculum, educational plans and the assessment system, in addition to field of teaching science and Math's, means of utilizing IT, means of student assessment, the basis of achieving quality standards and means of preparing the teachers.

During his stay at the Finnish capital, al Sulaimi visited the Finnish National Centre for Education as it is in charge of setting up and evaluating the educational policies. He also visited a number of basic education schools and post basic education, both the public and vocational streams.

The Education Minister also met at the University of Helsinki with the Chairman of Council of Education Quality Assessment and a number of Finnish officials. He also visited the Educational Media Centre to train teachers and administrators on how to apply technology in teaching and educational institutions management.
