The launch of this scientific chair is a new addition to the scientific chairs launched by the Sultanate in the different parts of the world to increase the number of chairs in the different continents to 15.

Cambridge University is one of the prestigious academic institutions in the U.K as it is the second oldest university in the English speaking communities. The University topped the list of SQ classification for universities of the world in 2010.
