Morocco, Vietnam strengthening economic cooperation

Morocco (Rabat) - Morocco's Economy and Finance Minister Salaheddine Mezouar held talks with Vietnam's Deputy Finance Minister Nguyen Cong Nghiep, on means to bolster bilateral cooperation.

During the meeting, Mezouar went over the Moroccan experience in strategic management of public debt, decentralization in fiscal management, in addition to public institutions’ investment policy.

Mezouar stressed the need to promote relations and vary trade and economic cooperation between the two countries in order to reflect the excellent bilateral political ties.

For his part, the Vietnamian official told MAP news agency that the meeting is an opportunity to exchange experience in fiscal management, applauding the steps taken by Morocco in order to reduce public debt.

Morocco’s price control policy leads to reducing the rate of inflation, said the Vietnamian official, on a visit to Morocco at the head of an important delegation.

The meeting was attended by Vietnam’s Special Ambassador Cao X Lian Than. (MAP)
